Third Wave Automation

Third Wave Automation

Autonomous forklift automation with shared autonomy

Overview

Third Wave Automation creates intelligent automation for warehouses. It develops autonomous high-reach forklifts (TWA Reach and TWA Extended Reach) and a Shared Autonomy Platform that lets AI-powered systems and human operators work together. The forklifts operate in four modes—fully autonomous, remote operation, remote assistance, and traditional manual—so they can fit into existing warehouse workflows without costly changes. The Armada Fleet Management System lets a single remote operator monitor and control multiple forklifts. The company licenses software via subscriptions and offers Robots-as-a-Service to avoid large upfront costs. By combining AI, machine learning, and flexible deployment, its goal is to boost warehouse throughput, efficiency, and safety while keeping human workers off the floor and out of hazardous areas.
