John Laurinaitis set for another public appearance after recent controversy. 8th April, 2026 John Laurinaitis is set to make another public appearance, with a new booking announced for later this week. World Class Professional Big Time Wrestling confirmed that the former WWE executive will attend its Fan Appreciation Night fundraiser on April 10, 2026, in Chillicothe, Ohio. John Laurinaitis is advertised to appear for autographs and photo opportunities, and the promotion has also teased a "groundbreaking announcement" during the event. The show will take place at Huntington High School, with proceeds benefiting the school's athletic boosters. The appearance comes roughly a month after Laurinaitis made a rare public outing at a meet-and-greet in March, which drew attention online. He later faced criticism after sharing an AI-generated image that appeared to exaggerate attendance at the event. John Laurinaitis was fired by WWE following Janel Grant lawsuit allegations. John Laurinaitis was previously terminated by WWE following allegations outlined in a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against WWE, Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon. His legal team has since responded to recent filings, stating that Laurinaitis was the only party exonerated by an independent investigation commissioned by WWE's Board of Directors and the only individual dismissed with prejudice from the case. Drumstick teaming up with Cody Rhodes ahead of wrestlemania 42. Drumstick, the popular ice cream sundae cone brand, is stepping back into the ring with WWE and WWE Superstar Cody "The American Nightmare" Rhodes to debut its new creative platform: "Lick it. Flip it. Drumstick it," celebrating the pleasure of eating a Drumstick as one likes - whether starting at the top or going straight for the chocolate nugget. Timed to WrestleMania 42 on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the campaign comes to life through an integrated program spanning a national TV commercial, social content featuring Rhodes, the return of the Summer Snackdown Sweepstakes, and the debut of a new sampling experience bringing innovative flavors to events across the USA, via the DrumTruck. Meanwhile, Drumstick is unveiling the Red, White & Blueberry cone. This limited-edition flavor features strawberry frozen dessert swirled around a blueberry sauce core, topped with a white confectionary coating and crispy rice pieces. It also marks brand's first-ever twist on its signature chocolate coating. The four-count box is available exclusively at Walmart stores beginning this week for a limited time. Drumstick's presence at WrestleMania 42 will be amplified with the debut of the DrumTruck - a one-of-a-kind, fully branded vehicle that blends vintage ice cream truck nostalgia with Drumstick attitude. Designed to stop fans in their tracks with new Drumstick flavors, the truck will serve samples of Red, White & Blueberry to WrestleMania attendees as they leave the stadium, before hitting the road for stops nationwide throughout the summer and beyond. Drumstick is part of Walnut Creek, California-based Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. a leading US ice cream company owned by Froneri. Dreyer's manufactures, markets and distributes a full spectrum of ice cream and frozen snacks made with high quality ingredients. With nearly 100 years of experience in the market, its portfolio of brands in North America includes Häagen-Dazs, Dreyer's/Edy's Grand and Slow Churned, Dibs, Outshine, Toll House, Push-Up, Frosty Paws and Skinny Cow, in addition to Drumstick. "Drumstick brings excitement wherever it goes, and this year's partnership with WWE and Cody Rhodes takes that energy to a new level," said Meredith Exberger, marketing director at Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream.
Lil Yachty hits back at backlash over involvement in WWE Wrestlemania. 4 hours ago On Saturday (April 4), WWE released an updated photo for their upcoming Wrestlemania event. And a lot of fans were not happy. The photo featured photos of NFL Legend Tom Brady, streaming star Speed, country music star Jelly Roll, sports analyst Pat McAfee, rapper Lil Yachty, and WWE head of Creative, Triple H. Many fans were dismayed about the poster. Noting that the spotlight was put on influences as opposed to the actual WWE Superstars. And questioned if the men in the poster were even fans of the sport. In response to the backlash, Yachty took to social media. And slammed critics for attempting to ruin his moment. Yachty hits back at backlash over WWE involvement. "I understand y'all are upset. But don't try to step on my f*****g moment," he wrote on social media on Sunday. "I'm at the TV screen every Monday and Friday religiously. I've been to more ple's than most. I probably know more history than most of y'all. Who's to say I don't deserve to be a part of something I love so dearly?" However, Yachty's comments only made fans double down on their backlash. "Brother thinks he deserves this more than guys like Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov. Get this tool outta here," one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Yeah, because we want to see another celebrity for a 1 time appearance. Vs a roster full of actual wrestlers, thanks lil yachty," a second user chimed in. "WWE as a product right now is awful. Nobody cares to see you of jelly roll or whatever other musician they're bringing," another user added. It's easy to see why fans would want the spotlight to be on actual wrestlers. Especially after last year's debacle with Travis Scott. Scott was involved in WWE's premium live event, Elimination Chamber in 2025. And Travis was featured in the closing segment where John Cena and the Rock assaulted WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. However, that was the last time Scott was ever seen in the feud. After reports said that things went sour between Travis and WWE. This really put a damper on one of the major storylines in Cena's retirement tour.
The devs are making big changes to WWE 2K26 based on player feedback. March 31, 2026 5:37 AM, by Enzo In response to player feedback, WWE 2K26 has released a major update (Patch 1.07) to address the issues with progression and gameplay systems. As a result, the Ringside Pass, which was deemed too grindy up until now, has been made more lenient: players now get free levels, and the cost in points (RXP) to progress has been reduced. Certain content, such as previously locked wrestlers, is also more easily accessible, limiting the frustration associated with the battle pass-like system. The much-criticized stamina system has been rebalanced to tire characters more gradually during matches. Finally, counters also consume less stamina in certain situations, making gameplay more fluid. Overall, these changes aim to make the game more accessible and enjoyable, even though the developers acknowledge that a few problems remain yet.
