Young Invincibles focuses on representing 18- to 34-year-olds in health care policy debates. It conducts policy research and analysis, collects and shares stories from young Americans, and designs campaigns to educate, inform, and mobilize its generation to influence health policy and reform. The model combines data-driven policy work with grassroots storytelling and advocacy to bring youth perspectives to decision-makers. This sets it apart from others by centering a young adult demographic and using narrative alongside research to push for changes in health policy. The goal is to ensure the voices of young people shape national health policy and decisions about the future.

Partnership for College Completion, Young Invincibles leading Task Force exploring Illinois College students Basic Needs. Home > blog > featured > Partnership for College Completion, Young Invincibles leading Task Force exploring Illinois College students Basic Needs. The Partnership for College Completion (PCC) and Young Invincibles (YI) are coming together to lead the Illinois College Student Basic Needs Task Force to address and advance policies and practices that reduce student basic needs insecurity statewide. The Illinois College Student Basic Needs Task Force will conduct an assessment of current supports, including collecting data from campuses and state agencies to document prevalent resources, gaps, and opportunities to improve Illinois students' access to resources. The task force's initial convening will be Tuesday, March 31, at Malcolm X College in Chicago. The discussion will lay the foundation for how the lack of access to supports providing needs such as food, housing, childcare, transportation, and emergency aid limits a student's ability to attend-let alone complete-college.
Healthy Young America means affordable and accessible health care. Posted March 23, 2026 (Washington, DC) - Today, Young Invincibles launched Healthy Young America, a reinvisioned campaign fighting for affordable, accessible, quality health care for young adults. Healthy Young America has been a cornerstone of Young Invincibles since the early days of the Affordable Care Act, aiming to enroll young adults in coverage and protect and expand health care for uninsured young adults. After 16 years of the Affordable Care Act, Young Invincibles is relaunching the Healthy Young America campaign to directly educate young adults about health care policies, especially those who are approaching the age of 26, and mobilize the next generation of health care advocates. Since the enactment of the ACA, the uninsured rate of young adults has been cut in half, resulting in 5.6 million fewer uninsured young adults. However, young adults are the most likely to be uninsured of any age group; about 30 percent of young adults are uninsured. With the expiration of the enhanced premium tax credits and rising health care costs, it has become increasingly clear that health care is unaffordable and inaccessible for too many. The Healthy Young America campaign aims to build a healthier future for young people, by mobilizing the next generation of health care advocates and advancing legislative solutions to make health care more affordable and accessible. Healthy Young America underscores the importance of educating young adults on how to gain health insurance coverage and access health services, and of ensuring lived experience guides and informs policy. "We can't wait any longer to make bold changes for health care; young adults need affordable and accessible care now. Our Healthy Young America campaign is about fighting to ensure young people can enroll in coverage, access the services they need, and afford the care that keeps them healthy. Young Invincibles was founded more than 16 years ago, during the fight for the Affordable Care Act. But today, too many young people are still uninsured or priced out of coverage altogether. With rising costs and the expiration of enhanced premium tax credits, the progress we fought for is at risk. During the fight for the ACA, young people didn't just ask for a seat at the table; we built a new one. With Healthy Young America, we are doing it again. We are demanding action for lower costs, expanding access, and ensuring young adults can get covered and stay healthy." FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 23, 2026 434-466-4645 | [email protected]
