Zeal Network enters UK prize draw market with SevenCanyon acquisition. £33.8m deal will see the German online lottery broker expand outside of Germany by acquiring remaining 96.5 per cent of shares in SevenCanyon. July 09, 2026 Online gambling Zeal Network is set to enter the UK's prize draw market through a deal to acquire SevenCanyon for £33.8m, which could rise to £38.6m. The German online lottery broker currently holds a 3.5 per cent stake in the 7days Performance, Redline Competitions and UK Carp Competitions prize draw operator. The deal for the remaining 96.5 per cent will be worth an initial £33.8m and potentially a further £4.8m if undisclosed financial targets are met. In its latest Companies House filings for the year ended March 31, 2025, SevenCanyon reported a 33.7-per-cent rise in revenue from £73.5m to £98.3m, along with a post-tax profit decline of 14.2 per cent to £7.2m. "With the acquisition, we hit the ground running in a highly attractive and growing market. We also accelerate the implementation of our strategy to selectively diversify our business model through new products and new markets." ZEAL Network adds Hans-Holger Albrecht to Supervisory Board.

ZEAL Network adds Hans-Holger Albrecht to Supervisory Board. 22nd May 2026 10:10 am Superbet chairman elected to the German online lottery provider's Supervisory Board, as company's AGM approves increase in dividend ZEAL Network has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Hans-Holger Albrecht as a new member of the Supervisory Board. Albrecht had been appointed to the Supervisory Board by court order in early April at the request of the Supervisory Board and the Management Board, succeeding Peter Steiner, who had resigned from his position in May 2025. At the company's 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) this week, Albrecht was officially elected to the Supervisory Board. He brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience in listed and privately held companies in the media, technology and telecommunications sectors. Among other roles, he held senior management positions at RTL Group, and currently serves as chairman of the Supervisory Board of Scout24, member of the Board of Directors of Deezer and chairman of Superbet Holding. "We are delighted to welcome Hans-Holger Albrecht to the Supervisory Board of ZEAL Network SE," said Carola Gräfin von Schmettow, chairwoman of ZEAL's Supervisory Board. "With his extensive international management and supervisory board experience, he will provide valuable impetus for ZEAL's continued growth strategy." At the AGM, all proposed resolutions submitted by ZEAL's management were approved by a large majority. This also included the increase of the basic dividend for the 2025 financial year from €1.30 to €1.40 per share. The total distribution amounts to €29.5 million, compared with €50.6 million in the previous year (consisting of a basic dividend of €1.30 and a special dividend of €1.10). "We are delighted to continue ZEAL's success story together with our shareholders," said ZEAL Network CEO Dr. Stefan Tweraser. "The increased basic dividend underlines the strong development of our business and our commitment to allowing our shareholders to participate in the company's success. "At the same time, we are driving the strategic evolution of our business model forward: through the targeted expansion of our offering - for example through the Dream House Raffle and Dream Car Raffle - we are diversifying our business, unlocking additional growth potential and creating the foundation for sustainable growth beyond the traditional lottery brokerage business." Shares in ZEAL Network SE (FRA:TIMA) were trading 1.27 per cent lower at €46.50 per share in Frankfurt earlier Friday.

ZEAL Network posts Q1 2026 revenue rise as planned investment weighs on EBITDA.

ZEAL Network posts Q1 2026 revenue rise as planned investment weighs on EBITDA. May 6, 2026 PxHere (CC0) Reading Time: 3 minutes Germany's leading online lottery broker maintains its full-year guidance of €250-260 million as it scales charity lotteries and a games portfolio that has surpassed 740 titles. ZEAL Network SE operates in a German online lottery market that the company itself estimates has an online penetration rate of roughly 29% - well below comparable European markets - leaving significant runway for a broker that has consistently grown its active user base even in quarters absent of peak jackpots. Germany's leading online lottery broker reported revenue of €54.3 million in the first quarter of 2026, a 6% increase on the €51.1 million recorded in the same period of 2025. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell approximately 13% year on year to €15.5 million (Q1 2025: €17.7 million), as the company accelerated investment in its charity lottery and games businesses. The Q1 2026 results, reported on 6 May 2026, reflect a deliberate trade-off between near-term profitability and longer-term diversification. Lottery and games performance. The core lottery segment remained the primary driver, generating revenue of €48.7 million, up 5% year on year, as an improved gross margin of 17.8% (Q1 2025: 17.1%) more than offset a subdued jackpot environment. Lottery Billings edged 1% higher to €268.0 million (Q1 2025: €264.7 million). Average monthly active users (MAU) rose 5% to 1,575 thousand, while new registrations grew 11% to 274 thousand - a notable customer-acquisition result for a quarter in which neither Lotto 6aus49 nor Eurojackpot registered a peak jackpot draw. The Games segment posted revenue of €3.9 million, up 14% year on year (Q1 2025: €3.4 million), supported by a B2C (business-to-consumer) portfolio that now comprises more than 740 titles, an increase of roughly 90 titles since the end of 2025, when the portfolio stood at more than 650. Investment drives EBITDA decline. ZEAL attributed the EBITDA contraction to planned expenditure increases: marketing costs rose 13% and personnel expenses increased 21%, reflecting the scaling of both the charity lottery and games divisions. Net profit after tax declined approximately 15.5% to €8.3 million. The company said the year-on-year comparison is also shaped by a strong Q1 2025 result in which EBITDA had nearly doubled. Andrea Behrendt, chief financial officer of ZEAL commented: 'The first quarter of 2026 shows that we are consistently executing our strategy even in a weak jackpot environment: our core business is growing, and we have continued to invest in diversifying our business model.' 'The slightly lower EBITDA compared to the previous year is primarily a reflection of these measures.' Dream Car Raffle adds third charity lottery. The period also saw ZEAL launch the Traumautoverlosung (Dream Car Raffle) on 14 April 2026 - its third proprietary charity lottery in the German regulated market, following the Traumhausverlosung (Dream House Raffle), which launched in 2024 and generated €38.9 million in billings during its first full year, and freiheit+. The Traumautoverlosung is operated by Dreamify gGmbH, a wholly owned non-profit subsidiary of the ZEAL Group, with marketing and distribution handled by Lotto24 AG. The initial draw offers a Porsche 911 GT3 RS as the headline prize, with a total of 250,000 tickets available; the product is structured so that a draw is guaranteed regardless of ticket sell-through. At least 20% of ticket revenue is allocated to charitable causes, with Johanniter (one of Germany's largest aid organisations) named as the 2026 charity partner. Guidance maintained. Despite the near-term pressure on profitability, ZEAL reiterated its full-year 2026 guidance, targeting revenue of €250-260 million and EBITDA of €70-75 million. The guidance assumes average jackpot conditions for the remainder of the year and already incorporates the increased investment in charity lotteries and Games. The company has set mid-term targets for the 2027-2029 period of double-digit annual revenue growth and a sustained EBITDA margin above 30%. Published May 06, 2026 May 7, 2026

ZEAL Network achieves 22% ROE with €49M profit despite 2.6% stock decline

ZEAL Network's stock has declined 2.6% over the past month, but the company's financials remain strong. The German lottery operator reported a return on equity of 22%, matching the industry average, with €49 million in profit generated from €220 million in shareholders' equity. The company has demonstrated impressive growth, with net income rising 42% over five years, comparable to the industry average of 46%. This performance suggests ZEAL Network's high ROE has effectively driven profit growth. Despite recent share price weakness, the company's solid fundamentals and strong profit retention indicate potential long-term value. ROE measures how effectively a company grows value and manages investor capital, making it a key metric for assessing profitability relative to equity.
