Amazon's online pharmacy PillPack LLC has agreed to a $6.5 million settlement to resolve allegations that it was responsible for unsolicited telemarketing calls, violating federal laws designed to protect consumers from robocalls and spam messages.
The lawsuit was filed against PillPack, a home-delivery pharmacy owned by Amazon, over allegations that it made unsolicited telemarketing calls in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
In 2018, it bought the online pharmacy PillPack for $750 million.3 In 2020, it launched Amazon Pharmacy as a full-service online pharmacy with savings for Prime members.4
