Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a consultant focusing on quote-to-cash optimization.
  • Deep expertise in CRM, ERP, and other quote-to-cash solutions across pricing and packaging, deal desk, billing, payments, finance, and accounting domains.
  • Fundamental understanding of key Order to Invoice organization structure to help deliver a quality process: Sales Desk, Deals Desk, Order Control/Release Desk.
  • Deep understanding of critical process policies and controls.
  • Exceptional skills in problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication and a proven track record influencing senior finance audiences (CFOs, CAOs, controllers).
  • Self-starter and collaborator with a proven ability to lead through influence.
  • High energy, a willingness to be creative in formulating engagements with our clients, partners, and colleagues.
  • Charismatic with a creative challenger mindset and a strong ability to build trust and confidence.
  • Willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze and optimize the Quote to Cash cycle for prospects and customers to provide best practices on efficiency, accuracy, and operational satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Solution Consultants and Revenue Advisors to create a vision beyond our products, detailing client journeys, and documenting architectural roadmaps that clarify Zuora’s role in the client’s technology ecosystem.
  • Consult on operational processes with a deep understanding of customer needs and constraints, including conducting functional discovery sessions and process optimization.
  • Deliver presentations to a C-Level audience and articulate how Zuora’s platform will allow their business to succeed and grow.
  • Challenge, recommend, and validate quote-to-revenue processes and data flows across the subscriber lifecycle.
  • Identify gaps in current state architectures and help define future-state solutions with a roadmap aligned to client business priorities, goals, and objectives.
  • Educate technical teams on recurring quote-to-revenue architectural concepts and design patterns that take advantage of the value Zuora brings versus traditional order-to-revenue systems.
  • Build scale by educating internal Solution Consultants on architecture best practices and positioning within the wider opportunity base.

GIC, Silver Lake Acquire Zuora for $1.7B

GIC and Silver Lake have completed their $1.7 billion acquisition of billing software firm Zuora at $10 per share. As a result, Zuora will no longer be listed on the NYSE. CEO Tien Tzuo will continue to lead the company. Silver Lake has been involved since 2022 with a $400 million investment. Zuora, founded in 2006, went public in 2018, raising $154 million at a $1.44 billion valuation. GIC and Silver Lake previously collaborated on Ancestry.com in 2016.
