Requirements
  • 7+ years of professional software experience and/or 5+ years growth engineering experience
  • Driven and motivated by growth engineering and experimentation as a practice
  • Generated and executed product experiments that drove significant scale in users and revenue, as part of a company that scaled from 10 → 100m+ active users
  • Driven technical tooling and process around experimentation
  • Ownership mindset: comfortable with both responsibility and accountability
  • Excited to get things done in a fast-paced environment
  • Thoughtful about creating and maintaining a world-class engineering culture
  • Work well in teams and enjoy collaborating with engineers, designers and product teams
  • Enjoy working in a pair programming environment

Responsibilities
  • Work across the stack to build features and launch experiments that unlock opportunities and drive growth
  • Work on production code from day one in a pair programming environment
  • Deploy often and move quickly
  • Have work used by millions of students, teachers, and parents around the world every day
  • Help further develop a high-quality engineering culture that values rapid iteration, collaboration, and best practices
  • Ensure code is heavily tested and deployed daily
Desired Qualifications
  • Used React and/or Node at scale
  • Worked with MongoDB or MySQL
  • DevOps experience, especially on AWS
