Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in positions of similar context and complexity.
  • Knowledge across multiple trades, with emphasis in plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret building plans and blueprints and apply trade mathematics.
  • Must hold a valid New Mexico state driver's license.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and a federal security investigation to obtain a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Public Trust clearance before the start date.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens to work in support of a federal agency.
Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of duties in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical repair, and equipment maintenance.
  • Install, repair, and modify water supply and waste disposal systems.
  • Conduct carpentry tasks, including construction, alteration, and repair of structures.
  • Make minor repairs to HVAC and boiler systems, including pumps, valves, and pneumatic controls.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair of medical gas and vacuum systems.
  • Conduct painting, patching, and finishing work in patient care and administrative areas.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including light fixtures, outlets, and switches.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System and assist with inventory and procurement of materials.
  • Perform other duties related to maintenance and operations of facility systems.
  • Respond to call-back and emergency duties outside normal working hours.
