Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management or related field.
  • Three years' experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing donor or customer engagement strategies.
  • Experience building and managing email marketing programs.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management software, including Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including advanced skills in data analysis and customer lifecycle optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours when necessary to meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to travel when necessary to attend station events.
  • Ability to lift or move 20 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally for event setup and teardown.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously for four or more hours during events.
  • Ability to work more than a 10-hour day during events.
  • A cover letter addressing interest in the role, interest in KUOW, and transferable skills if not currently a membership manager.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy and execution of annual giving programs that strengthen donor acquisition, retention, engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Develop multi-channel campaigns, donor communications, membership benefits, and data-driven stewardship initiatives that deepen loyalty, increase monthly giving, and encourage donor upgrades.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of annual giving programs using donor retention, attrition, upgrade, and revenue performance metrics.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve fundraising, donor services, and membership program outcomes.
  • Optimize membership systems, procedures, and technology platforms to improve efficiency, donor experience, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Leverage Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and other digital tools to streamline operations, support fundraising goals, and ensure effective case management and staff collaboration.
  • Support donor cultivation and stewardship through events and in-station experiences.
  • Create engaging interactions that enhance donor satisfaction, connection, and long-term commitment to KUOW.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with public radio programming.
  • Certification in nonprofit management or fundraising and experience with large-scale donor engagement strategies.
  • Advanced skills in customer lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with and managing vendors.
