Requirements
  • Professional with at least 3+ years of accounting or industry experience with an understanding of private funds, partnership accounting and financial instruments
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business; CPA preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Advanced user of Excel and highly proficient with MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with Investran and/or Geneva is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a growing environment
  • Highly developed planning and organizational skills; able to anticipate change, adjust responses accordingly, and initiate steps to maximize resources toward a common objective
Responsibilities
  • Scope of funds includes fund of funds, SEC registered investment companies, and Australian investment trusts
  • Oversee fund administrators to ensure complete and accurate books; daily reconciliation of positions, NAV, cash, and liabilities, etc
  • Involvement with operational duties including capital calls, distributions, and wiring of funds
  • Active role in preparation/review of semi-annual & annual financial statements, liaising with auditors, calculating performance returns, management/performance fees, and expense
  • Prepare income and dividend forecast models, board presentations, and SEC disclosures
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests, investor questions, and frequent interaction with our marketing/client management and legal departments
  • Frequent project coordination work
  • Assist in driving accounting, reporting and business process simplification and efficiency initiatives
