Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leads programs for compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and
• requirements.
• Provides compliance specifications/recommendations to Production Team.
• Ensures accurate and timely environmental and safety recordkeeping and document
• management including the submission of periodic reports to regulatory agencies.
• Leads and/or assists with emergency response activities.
• Interface with regulatory and public sector safety authorities as appropriate
• Participate in Safety Audits, JHA’s and other elements of Plant/Process Safety Management
• Integral to sites’ safety performance.
• All other projects and duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree. In engineering, manufacturing, safety, environmental science, or industrial hygiene.
• 2-5 years’ previous experience in the health and safety field is desired, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Preparing and updating site HSE procedures and processes. Ensure alignment to Company requirements. Technical writing skills in updating and maintaining documents related to processes, procedures, and ISO.
• Having experience or being familiar with ISO45001 and ISO14001.
• Provide safety training for office, R&D and manufacturing employees.
• Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision and possess critical thinking skills.
• Some team oriented and effective public speaking skills.
• Significant experience participating in risk assessments, HSE audits, and implementing HSE Management systems.
• Significant knowledge of Cal-OSHA and HSE legislation.
• Some knowledge of environmental and industrial hygiene practices, first aid practices, and HAZCOM.
• Some experience conducting root cause analysis/incident investigations.
• Significant oral, written, IT, and Microsoft Office skills.
