Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • 4 years of experience managing a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with internal and/or external customers and team members leadership and customer representatives
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience programming in C, C++, or other high order language and experience using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of test and simulated data
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Responsibilities
  • Lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) comprising of Flight Software, GNC, Signal Processing, and Modeling & Simulation engineers to develop, model, test, and verify vehicle flight software
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance and accreditation high fidelity simulations and models used for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support
  • Manage the development and integration of Operational Flight Software to meet program milestones and test events
  • Manage the development of GNC Algorithms to control, stabilize and fly mission plans as part of the overall Operational Flight Software
  • Contribute to software engineering proposals where you will perform task definition and estimating work to accomplish those tasks
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience developing real-time Operational Flight Software
  • Experience developing signal processing / GNC algorithms or models for missile applications
  • Experience designing and performing analysis of high-fidelity performance simulations
  • Experience with control hardware design and test, hardware/software integration, modeling physics and physical systems as related to flight dynamics
  • Experience in a software management or software lead role where you led/managed engineers and received/provided feedback
