Requirements
  • A college degree is required.
  • Two to five years of insurance industry or relevant experience is required.
  • Candidates must hold a property and casualty license or be able to obtain one within three months of employment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required, along with the ability to learn proprietary applications and databases.
Responsibilities
  • Work with senior team members to develop and execute renewal strategy, select insurers to approach, negotiate broad coverage terms, produce and present program recommendations, and complete documentation of placement activities.
  • Consult management on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participate in developing solutions.
  • Ensure client renewal transactions comply with professional standards.
  • Assist with special projects within the team.
  • Consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production, including active participation in requests for proposals and coverage reviews.
  • Negotiate and drive optimal coverage terms on behalf of clients.
  • Review all quotes, binders, and policies thoroughly to ensure the accuracy of placed coverage.
  • Develop knowledge of market risk issues, insurance brokerage, account management, servicing, and sales.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of changing insurance and risk management market conditions.
