Diligent Robotics is seeking an experienced and highly motivated FP&A Director to lead the company’s financial planning and analysis responsibilities. This is a high-level, Individual Contributor position reporting into the CFO and partnering with Diligent’s Executive Team. The FP&A Director will be responsible for overseeing the forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis processes, as well as providing strategic financial insights to support the organization’s growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will have experience at Manufacturing companies, is skilled at Inventory Management, and has experience working for both Startups and Large-Scale companies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, analysis and long-range financial planning processes.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making across the organization.
- Provide thought partnership with the Executive Team as it relates to financial planning and strategy.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for the Executive Team, Board of Directors, and Investors, on a monthly and ad hoc basis.
- Provide ongoing analysis of historic performance, including financial results and trends, productivity metrics, industry trends, capital expenditures, and key operating metrics.
- Assist CFO with cash management by providing short/long-term financial forecasts and insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives.
- Drive improvements thougout the business and in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Evaluate potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions to support growth initiatives.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, operational modeling, technical knowledge of financial statements, driver-based modeling, and reporting techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Seasoned FP&A acumen, clear communication skills, an ability to positively collaborate and influence across varied functions.
- Proven analytical skills with a hands-on and detail-oriented nature; able to accomplish deep-dive analytics both individually and in collaboration with the CFO.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management and manufacturing.
- Recent experience working in a Startup Environment.
- Genuine desire to work in an Individual Contributor role.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Clear verbal/written communication and presentation skills with an ability to influence and build positive interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to cope in a fast, dynamic environment and manage a wide range of tasks simultaneously.

- Experience with Quickbooks required, NetSuite implementation experience is a plus.
