Requirements
  • Valid Master Electrician License through the State of Michigan
  • Proficiency in wiring complex mechanical components
  • Lead and direct electrical work of assigned projects with little to no supervision
  • High regard for safety standards
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the year, locally and nationally
  • Experience training less experienced electricians
  • Experience with Microsoft
  • Ability to order required wire / cables for projects assigned to.
Responsibilities
  • Panel building, wiring, and electrical controls of electrical components on automation equipment projects
  • Document and communicate changes and problems
  • Communicate with project team on open issues and progress
  • Assist in successful execution of equipment builds
  • Troubleshoot wiring and circuits effectively and safely
  • Read and understand schematics
  • Lead assigned projects and work effectively with team members
  • Attend Design Review Meetings and assist with design
  • Work alongside Controls Engineers for print review and Power up / Debug
  • Train other team members
  • Plan projects from start to finish including project plan, material ordering, and installation plan
  • Problem solve issues, poke yokes, and cycle time
  • Travel for installations and runoffs with customers
  • Identify electrical problems and recommend adjustments/repair work
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments during project phases including de-bug and runoff
