  • An earned Doctorate in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field, by time of employment (candidates who are ABD at the time of application will be considered).
  • At least one year of additional business, industry, governmental experiences, and/or prior teaching experience, or professional certifications is required.
Responsibilities
  • Teach a three-three course-load with a combination of online and in-person courses on the Gorham campus, advance scholarly activities, advise students, and provide services that support the Cybersecurity program at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Pass a background check to serve as a liaison between the University and the information security community and work closely with employers to meet local workforce needs.
  • Engage in student academic advising, participate in university, department and community committees, and other kinds of service.
  • Conduct research and scholarship activities.
  • Possible courses taught include security operations, penetration testing, digital forensics, cyber-law, cryptography, system security, network security, as well as professional courses such as project management.
  • Mentor cybersecurity internships, thesis advising, capstone experiences, and student portfolios.
