Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, or finance is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a finance, accounting, or auditing position is required.
  • Knowledge of professional practice in financial accounting and reporting, internal controls, and external reporting is required.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze generally accepted accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards financial documents is required.
  • Ability to problem solve and gather and analyze information efficiently is required.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the ability to analyze large data sets and identify patterns and gaps within the data.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately, with attention to detail and prioritization and planning skills, are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills and high standards of professional ethics and integrity are required.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage documentation and processes to onboard new external investment managers.
  • Monitor investment manager requests and coordinate with responsible investment team members.
  • Review quarterly valuations and transactions for the Long-Term Pool investment portfolio and post accounting entries in the general ledger.
  • Prepare dashboards and periodic portfolio analytics.
  • Assist with tracking portfolio company-level data for private equity fund investments.
  • Assist with operational due diligence reviews for private equity and hedge fund managers.
  • Assist with artificial intelligence integration projects within the Investment Office.
  • Support audit, tax, and other regulatory filings.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant certification is desired.
  • Previous investment operations or asset management experience is a plus.
  • Experience with investment operations platforms such as Dynamo, Geneva Advent, BNY Nexen, and Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
