Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 7 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience leading an engineering team or project
  • Experience with payload/sensor systems engineering and integration
  • Active in-scope, DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance once in position. This TS must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • At some point, selected candidate may be required to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the activities of a team (internal and suppliers) to build and integrate sensors into aircraft and ground segment systems
  • Provide technical oversight and reviews of engineering from internal team and suppliers (potential supplier value >$100M across all contracts)
  • Manage the technical, cost, and schedule performance of the team’s deliverables
  • Manage technical and programmatic risks, opportunities, and issues
  • Report status of all tasks to IPT Director, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, and other management
  • Research, design, develop, and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.
