Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing or an education equivalency for licensing is required.
  • Two years of registered nurse experience with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility are required.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association is required for the applicable work location.
  • A registered nurse license for the applicable work location or a registered nurse license issued by a compact state is required.
  • The role requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 0–25 pounds.
  • The role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements.
  • The role requires frequent use of vision and depth perception to identify and distinguish colors and to view near and far distances.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily operations with the leadership team to implement clinical objectives and quality patient care for assigned ministries.
  • Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during the assigned shift.
  • Contribute to performance evaluations of staff.
  • Serve as a resource to staff.
  • Manage patient flow within the assigned area.
  • Provide support and coordination for patient emergencies.
  • Open and lead incident command for internal or external disasters until relieved by the assigned administrative representative.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels.
  • Provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior surgery experience is preferred.
