Requirements
  • Employment and continued employment are contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a favorable Federal clearance (5C), providing required fingerprints, and obtaining a PIV-I card in the office.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must have resided in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years.
  • The government security clearance process requires information such as 7 years of previous work experience, previous addresses, and contact information for people who can verify this information.
  • Must not be delinquent or in default with any federal debt.
  • Final suitability determination is at the sole discretion of the Department of Education.
  • A high school degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • One or more years of customer service experience and/or general office experience is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge of the student loan industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Listening and reading comprehension.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
  • Interact with customers about their accounts through inbound and outbound phone calls, email, chat, and text as assigned.
  • Use basic mathematics and personal-computer skills to track, troubleshoot, and accurately update customer account information.
  • Maintain the integrity of data and sensitive information.
  • Work with customers across multiple platforms simultaneously to address questions and resolve issues.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and the team.
  • Evaluate options available to customers using internal knowledge bases, standard processes, published materials, or escalation to appropriate levels as needed.
  • Perform tasks related to resolving customer needs by taking ownership and de-escalating calls and contacts.
  • Research and provide resolutions to customer inquiries in accordance with established laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Commit to the Performance Based Organization and Easy To Do Business With philosophies.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement.

Omaha's Grapple raises $1M to make data analytics accessible for nontechnical users

Omaha-based Grapple has raised $1 million in a pre-seed round led by Invest Nebraska and Nelnet, with participation from MOVE Venture Capital and Nebraska Angels. The startup develops an AI-powered platform that makes data analytics accessible to nontechnical users without requiring data engineering expertise. Founded in 2025 by Jack Sellwood, Grapple's software pulls information from various sources including databases, spreadsheets and apps like Salesforce and Quickbooks. The platform enables sales, marketing and finance teams to compile reports independently, saving businesses time and money. Grapple was recently accepted into California's LAUNCH Accelerator and has secured early customers including Nebraska startups Guardify and Workshop. The company will use the funding to expand its team, marketing efforts and go-to-market strategy whilst remaining based in Omaha.
