Responsibilities
  • Leading a cross-functional product engineering team of 3-6 senior full-stack engineers.
  • Responsible for building an engineering roadmap for the team, the sequencing of the work, and the delivery.
  • Help product manager and a designer with the product discovery, allocate engineering resources for designing technical solutions.
  • A part of the wider engineering leadership/architecture forum that is tackling higher-level projects in the engineering organisation - addressing tech-debt, stability, observability and developer experience topics.
  • Analysing your team's cadence, identifying areas of improvement and making sure the team is working on the most important problems relevant for the company.
  • Directly managing (as a line manager) the engineers in your team - regular 1on1s, feedback weeks, career progressions, helping them grow.
  • Aligning with with other stakeholders in the company - other engineering teams, go-to-market teams, senior leadership - manage expectations, celebrate wins, drill down the top-level company strategy.
