Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • One to two years of experience in construction, a trade, or another hands-on assembly-related background is required.
  • Ability to use and safely operate hand and power tools is required.
  • Proficiency in measuring and performing basic mathematics is required.
  • Ability to pass required drug screening and background checks is required.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate safety standards in this safety-sensitive position is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, engineering blueprints, and technical terms is required.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, a hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection, is required.
  • Ability to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles, including ladders, stairs, catwalks, and uneven surfaces, is required.
  • Ability to frequently stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, and use hand and finger dexterity is required.
  • Ability to continually walk up to five miles per day and climb multiple flights of stairs is required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move more than 30 pounds is required.
  • Ability to perform work near moving mechanical parts and around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals is required.
  • Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble various parts based on mechanical and electrical prints and other visual materials using hand and power tools.
  • Work with other assemblers to connect components and construct mechanical and electrical products.
  • Follow technical instructions and interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
  • Collect all materials and equipment needed to begin the assembly process.
  • Assess the quality of parts and materials used in production.
  • Follow company procedures and directives.
  • Check output to ensure high quality.
  • Maintain records of production quantities and time.
  • Report issues, malfunctions, and defective parts.
  • Maintain the tools used to create products.
  • Keep the workspace clean and well maintained.
  • Demonstrate best practices in safety, quality, delivery timeliness, and efficiency.
Desired Qualifications
  • Some college coursework is preferred.
