Requirements
  • A BE, MS, ME, MTech, or MS degree in an Electronics or Electrical Engineering discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience with standard-cell ASIC and FPGA design.
  • Familiarity with RTL and gate-level design and verification using VHDL and/or Verilog hardware description languages.
  • Familiarity with C and C++.
  • Familiarity with ASIC/FPGA verification methodology.
  • Basic understanding of CMOS ASIC fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of all phases of ASIC design and test methodology.
  • Basic understanding of timing analysis.
  • Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Ability to design independently for medium- and high-complexity problems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to present technical information.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in ASIC and FPGA implementation and verification for the Design Services organization.
  • Participate in modeling, RTL implementation, conversions, and verification for digital logic designs.
  • Create Verilog/VHDL module test specifications from ASIC/FPGA functional or module specifications.
  • Define tests for inputs and outputs, algorithms, state machines, clocks, and other design details.
  • Implement tests in VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog.
  • Verify test code through simulation and perform coverage analysis.
  • Work under the supervision of more experienced engineers and engage in technical dialogue.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of bus protocols such as AXI, AHB, and SPI, as well as Ethernet protocol.
  • Knowledge of SystemVerilog.
  • Knowledge of the Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
  • Experience with FPGA-based designs.
  • Experience with test planning and verification.
