Requirements
  • Ability to operate under minimal supervision.
  • Working technical competency with one or more of the supported platforms, including Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESX, Xen hypervisors, enterprise networking, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, forensic analysis, vulnerability assessment, Group Policy management and configuration, scripting, BMC Footprints, WSUS, Lumension, BitLocker, SQL Server 2012, Tomcat, IIS, Windows Server 2012 R2/2016, Windows 10, Red Hat 6.5, and Microsoft Office.
  • Technical competency with toolkits, security information and event management systems, LogRhythm, ACAS/Nessus/SCAP, mandatory and role-based access control concepts, video teleconferencing/VoIP, Oracle and Microsoft SQL database security, and Apache/IIS web server security.
  • SAP experience.
  • Three to seven years of related experience.
  • A bachelor's degree and three years of related experience, an associate's degree and five years of related experience, or no degree and seven years of related experience.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program information.
  • Willingness to submit to a counterintelligence polygraph.
Responsibilities
  • Execute day-to-day management and operations of systems and networks.
  • Manage commercial off-the-shelf and government off-the-shelf products to collect, display, and remediate automated system security and system operations and performance functions and metrics.
  • Follow daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly operations and maintenance checklists to maintain the service, and build tactics, techniques, processes, and standard operating procedures associated with the service checklists.
  • Operate monitoring tools and capabilities with the enterprise security information and event management system, and create or tailor complex event alarms, rules, and summary reports.
  • Assist in analyzing technical risk of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes upon request.
  • Work as part of a security incident response team as needed.
  • Organize, install, and support computer systems, including local area networks, wide area networks, network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems.
  • Help architect, design, and analyze network models.
  • Participate in decisions about purchasing future hardware or software to upgrade organizational infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support to computer users to help resolve user problems.
  • Provide day-to-day support for collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information, and Special Access Program activities.
