At least 2 years of experience in any industry
Desire to work and be exposed to a diverse range of DevOps related skills and problems, including getting into the finer details of topics and gaining in-depth domain knowledge
Effective and clear communication skills, including being able to talk and relay concepts to peers and team members of varying technical ability
Overall drive to own and solve time-sensitive problems in the context of a team environment, actively pushing to move towards resolutions in the most efficient and concise way possible

Responsibilities

Use existing monitoring tools to monitor systems for problems and performance, and to have primary responsibility to answer questions and handle outages
Use SQL to configure systems and to analyze data from multiple sources to contribute to a larger picture of system performance
Work with developers to deploy new servers and applications, reconfigure existing systems, and track changes made to the system
Work with the IT group to procure, test, and configure production and test hardware, track changes, and plan for future system needs
Work to automate existing procedures and work with developers to analyze and improve systems to address support problems and increase system transparency
Work with developers and analysts to configure, test, and validate new strategies and deployments

Desired Qualifications

Experience working in the trading industry, including a working knowledge of exchange protocols and order lifecycles
General operations knowledge including, but not limited to:
Working with TCP and relevant networking tools, such as Wireshark and tcpdump
Linux systems and OS level configurations
General server management / infrastructure

Seeking a smart and driven individual to work closely with our software and hardware development teams to manage and improve our core trading systems and processes. This individual will be responsible for monitoring the real-time operation of our systems, responding to outages, developing tools to manage an ever-increasing range of systems, and working closely with software and hardware engineers, as well traders and quants, to identify issues and build better systems.

What You’ll Do:
