Requirements
  • 4+ years in software development, with experience building systems that collect or process data for use in analytics products
  • You have experience building software for the purposes of data collection and instrumentation (data collection SDKs). You also have hands-on experience with schema design and data modeling
  • You have primary programming proficiency in a JVM language (Java, Scala), in addition to secondary experience in any one of C#, Objective C, C++ or similar. You strive to write elegant, maintainable code. You may even be a software engineer with a focus or passion for data-driven solutions
  • You have experience with the use of SQL for ad hoc analysis
  • You enjoy a high-level of autonomy in managing cross-functional projects and would thrive in a culture of freedom and responsibility
  • You have excellent communication in sharing context to effectively collaborate with analytical partners, domain experts, and other consumers of your work, preferably in supporting an engineering or product function. We like to collaborate across teams, and so do you

Responsibilities
  • You'll develop and take ownership of our low latency analytics software stack, which will pipe data from game sessions into a custom visualization framework
  • You'll develop code in close partnership with the Netflix Game SDK team to ensure critical analytical functionality is implemented to support a broad range of games
  • You'll collaborate with our logging infrastructure team to develop and maintain key schemas for use by all games
  • You'll work directly with our internal game studio to ensure high-quality analytics instrumentation and integration with 1st party games
