Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 6+ years of experience in bridge design and analysis
  • Knowledge of state DOT, local municipal, and county design standards
  • Experience in planning, inspection, design, load ratings, and construction support services
  • Proficiency in software like LEAP Bridge Enterprise, LARSA 4D, etc.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and check structural analysis and design plans
  • Maintain knowledge of design standards and criteria
  • Lead and mentor team members through design process
  • Analyze deteriorated components and assess remaining capacities
  • Develop construction documents and perform structural inspections
  • Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and proposals
  • Participate in business development and project pursuits
  • Review contractor's Request for Information and shop drawing submittals
