A Day in the Life
• Remotely sell Medtronic’s products within assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts for pre-defined territory locations.
• Close sales and achieve quarterly sales quotas.
• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
• Understand customer needs (manage and respond to customer concerns and problems)
A Day in the life:
- Remotely sells Medtronic’s products and retains end-user patients within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts for pre-defined territory locations to achieve or exceed assigned sales goals.
- Identify, develop and close leads for the business and refer on internal leads when appropriate.
- Provides input on new markets, new product introductions, and existing products or supplies.
- Promotes and establishes education of the company’s products and/or services.
- Manages and responds to customer concerns and problems.
- Arranges demonstration of products by field sales representatives.
- Assists the field sales representatives in the planning and execution of sales activities as well as providing on-going sales support including sales calls, data analysis, customer opportunities, and sales rep follow-up.
- Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets within
the assigned territory. - Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with key decision makers, including physicians, administrators, and procurement departments.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training to healthcare providers
to ensure they understand product features and benefits. - Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing client concerns and
ensuring a high level of satisfaction. - Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional activities and product
launches. - Submit accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and other administrative tasks.
- Attend virtual meetings, training, and conferences as required.
- Identify, develop and close leads for the business and refer on internal leads when
appropriate.
SALES PROFESSIONAL CAREER STREAM: Typically sales professional individual contributors with direct sales responsibilities. May direct the work of other lower level sales professionals or manage sales processes and / or accounts involving multiple team members. The majority of time is spent establishing and maintaining customer relationships, developing new customer relationships, implementing sales strategies and closing sales.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge gained through experience of sales techniques and job area typically obtained through education combined with sales experience.
Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues .
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and working knowledge of company products and services.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
• High School Diploma, or;
• Associate’s degree, or;
• Bachelor’s degree.
JOB EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with a High School Diploma, or;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with an associate’s degree, or;
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with a bachelor’s degree.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory when needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
JOB EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years of experience in health care sales, sales in medical devices, capital equipment
sales, surgical sales, in-hospital pharmaceuticals, sales, contracts, training, clinical, marketing, customer/tech services, customer education or other customer facing
role/experience.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
• Practical knowledge of sales techniques, strategies & relationship building
• Demonstrated ability to work independently & drive results
• Documented sales success, preferably in B2B sales or health care
• Degree in biological science or business preferred
• Business planning skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to teach & educate medical personnel, peers & technical support personnel
• Demonstrated ability to grasp use of technology & applications (ie., iPad, SalesForce.com, SAP); PC literate
• Knowledge &/or experience with hospital, cath lab, physician settings
• Experience selling complex products over the phone
