About Us
MarketAxess is on a journey to digitally transform one of the world’s largest financial markets, enabling the shift from analog, phone-based trading to a fully electronic marketplace. Why does this matter? Because our platform makes trading fixed-income more accessible, ultimately improving transparency, efficiency, and competition in the marketplace. Changing the way an established industry transacts is no easy feat. There will be twists and turns, because no one’s ever done this before. But now, more than 2,000 clients around the world rely on our solutions, and that number is only expected to grow in the years ahead. We know where we’re going. How we get there is up to us. Join us and help Take Us There.

How You’ll Take Us There
The Operations Regulatory Controls team at MarketAxess executes a variety of different controls, with different frequencies, using multiple different tools and applications. The purpose of the control framework is to ensure MarketAxess is meeting regulatory obligations with regard to transaction reporting, pre- and post-trade transparency requirements, accuracy of reference data and the periodic reconciliation of different data elements to validate the overall strength of the control environment.
You will learn how to identify and resolve reporting exceptions and rejections, how we interact with our clients to resolve exceptions, and how we work together across the organisation, collaborating with other functions, to solve problems in a timely manner.
We will encourage you to highlight ways in which we can improve our processes. Being inquisitive and tenacious about tackling the source of a problem and stopping it from occurring again is a key behaviour we encourage and will look for in each candidate. Specific role responsibilities include:

- Exception Management, escalation and remediation.
- Supporting the broader Control Framework within Operations, whilst engaging in cross departmental collaboration.

- Open communication and dialogue with direct and indirect teams.
