- Lead and own all functional safety topics at Waabi with a strong focus on software quality, define a holistic, effective and yet simple fallback management approach and oversee the strict implementation of it.
- Act as a central point of contact at Waabi for all matters related to functional safety and communicate updates, progress and potential roadblocks to stakeholders at all levels.
- Help drive Waabi’s safety culture through application of safety standards and methodologies in your area of responsibility across all supporting teams at Waabi including Systems Engineering, Software and Hardware.
- Define the overall functional safety concept for the self-driving system and assist with evidence generation by hands on performing hazard and safety analysis in accordance to applicable guidelines.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance Waabi’s functional safety processes and fallback management system, look for novel approaches, identify and apply lessons learned and ensure a detailed and comprehensive functional safety documentation that is easily accessible.
- Implement tools and methodologies to streamline and automate functional safety processes where applicable.
- Work with external partners on integrating and verifying functional safety of the complete self-driving system.
- Lead or assist in functional safety audits and assessments.
