Position Summary: MLB Network is seeking a Technical Project Manager to partner with IT Management to assist in delivering IT related projects. This role will be critical in the planning and overall management of IT related projects, working to help define of project scope, gather business requirements, define project deliverables, create, and manage project documentation, and to create and manage project timelines. The successful candidate will be an experienced project manager with an eye for detail, and highly developed communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in analyzing business requirements and developing project plans.
• Aid in the creation and maintenance of extensive project documentation.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments for projects and developing a plan for managing those risks.
• Aid in the tracking of key performance indicators using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Assist in managing changes to project scope, schedule and cost.
• Liaise with team members, end users and 3rd party vendors in support of project goals
• Assist in the monitoring and tracking of all progress and action items on all projects, including monitoring deadlines, notifying responsible parties of upcoming deadlines, and preparing reports for management and other stakeholders.
• Aide in the implementation of new system and interface change enhancements.
• Perform other related duties and/or projects as directed by IT Management.
• Ensure compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure project complies with best practices, SOPs and other policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in an IT project management role.
• Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals.
• Understanding of software development life cycle.
• Ability to work well and multi-task in a dynamic television broadcast environment.
• Demonstrate the tact, diplomacy, decisiveness, and superior people skills required in the pressurized environment of live television.
• Must have strong attention to detail, be meticulous, flexible, and be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong team building, interpersonal and personnel development skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Knowledge in all phases of product lifecycle from requirements through design and implementation.
• Industry certification, such as ITIL, Agile, SCRUM, PMP, is preferred.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Individual must possess strong computer skills and be an effective user of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Possess the manual dexterity needed to effectively create required work product.
• Possess the visual acuity needed to effectively create required work product.
• Possess the auditory acuity needed to effectively create required work product.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
