Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of people management experience leading regional or global distributed teams.
  • Experience in mobile app ecosystems, digital platforms, or other relevant areas.
  • Experience working in a global product, sales, and engineering environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a multi-year regional ecosystem strategy to accelerate the success of apps and games developers, define priorities, and build systems to track and report progress.
  • Build on Google Play's global strategy and lead teams across multiple regional offices to support business growth.
  • Partner strategically with the Google EMEA leadership team to drive cross-Google strategy and lead regional change across people, processes, and systems.
  • Drive Google Play initiatives in EMEA by influencing stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Ensure consistent policy guidelines and enforcement, and work with other teams to anticipate local changes and prepare Google Play to respond.
  • Lead the development of the apps and games ecosystem in EMEA as the regional leader of Play Partnerships.
  • Lead the regional Play Partnerships organization responsible for accelerating partner success on Play and the growth and adoption of Android platforms and products in EMEA.
  • Work cross-functionally with partners, government relations, communications, legal, and central operations teams to address ecosystem issues and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Build and cultivate long-lasting strategic partnerships so partners can take advantage of Google's products and offerings.
  • Negotiate and close strategic partnerships and renewals.
  • Lead and develop the partnerships team.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA degree.
  • Experience addressing policy, regulatory, and legislative issues.
  • Experience in mobile app ecosystems, digital platforms, a multifunctional environment, or a consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills, an established network of senior industry relationships, and experience negotiating and closing strategic partnerships and renewals.
  • Good business judgment and the ability to communicate effectively with senior business partners, with confidence advocating for partners, clients, and the business.
  • A track record of self-starting, taking on increasing responsibility, and successfully leading and developing a partnerships team.
