Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Seven to ten years of accounting experience is required.
  • Three to five years of progressive supervisory experience in a complex accounting unit is required.
  • An active Certified Public Accountant license or near-term progress toward obtaining one is required.
  • In-depth understanding of generally accepted accounting principles is required.
  • Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office, including Excel, accounting software, and databases are required.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data is required.
  • Proficiency in corporate accounting best practices and a quantifiable track record of success in high-accountability, fast-paced organizations are required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department, including month-end and year-end processing.
  • Review journal entries, analyses, and reconciliations prepared by accountants.
  • Manage, develop, and train the Accounting team.
  • Perform monthly revenue reviews and accrual analysis.
  • Lead the coordination and process of the company's annual financial audit.
  • Assist with and review teams' explanations of expenditure variance analysis.
  • Formally document processes and procedures to strengthen and maintain internal controls.
  • Implement improvements and efficiencies on a continuous basis.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze financial accounting data and create ad hoc reports.
  • Integrate accounting processes and the billing cycle as part of the mergers and acquisitions strategy.
  • Prepare generally accepted accounting principles compliance memoranda.
  • Assist with preparing the annual consolidated financial statement.
  • Perform payroll and benefits analytics.
  • Support tax activities.
  • Support strategic initiatives for margin optimization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain only the minimum necessary access to Protected Health Information and Personally Identifiable Information required by the job description and role.
