  • 5+ years of experience in customs operations, international trade, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs laws, and tariff codes
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to handle complex customs issues
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with customs authorities, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Expertise in customs software and management tools (e.g., SAP, customs brokerage systems)
  • Understanding of global trade agreements (e.g., NAFTA, WTO, etc.) and their application in logistics operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Customs certifications (e.g., CCS, CHB) are highly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of customs operations across the Americas region
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international trade regulations, including customs clearance, tariff classifications, and duty management
  • Stay updated on customs laws, trade agreements, and regulations
  • Continuously analyze and improve customs clearance processes to ensure efficiency and minimize operational costs
  • Manage and develop a team of customs professionals
  • Work closely with the operations, procurement, logistics, and legal teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with customs brokers, government agencies, and other external partners
  • Ensure proper documentation of all customs activities, including audits, inspections, and clearance records
