- Minimum of 5 years of tailoring experience in a retail or customer-service environment.
- Strong working knowledge of garment construction in men's and women's apparel and the ability to perform high-quality workmanship by hand and machine.
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced office environment.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
- Ability to adhere to the Office Support Manual and company policies and procedures.
- Successful completion of a background and credit check is required as a condition of employment.
- Perform alterations as directed for clients' high-end garments and deliver professionally finished garments on time.
- Demonstrate knowledge of fabric and standard tailoring concepts and procedures while producing quality workmanship for men's and women's garments.
- Adjust men's and women's suits, shirts, coats, blazers, dresses, and trousers.
- Shorten or lengthen sleeves and trousers.
- Taper garment sides, trouser thighs, and foot widths.
- Lower collars.
- Take in or let out trouser waists, seats, and rises.
- Ensure proper sizing of clients.
- Manage client interactions professionally.
- Track detailed alteration production daily.
- Perform alterations on all submitted garments, press finished garments, remove threads, and complete garments for client-ready delivery.
- Complete all work promptly to meet customer delivery dates.
- Maintain a clean work environment and required paperwork related to daily assignments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter attitude.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently with strong time organization.
