Requirements
  • Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain a state medical license
  • Candidates must have completed an accredited pediatric or pediatric/internal medicine residency program and hold American Board of Pediatrics certification
  • Subsequent Pediatric subspecialty certification will be an expectation
Responsibilities
  • In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in teaching medical students, Pediatric residents and internal medicine ID fellows
  • Opportunities exist to participate in clinical and translational research
  • The Pediatric Infectious Diseases division has three full time faculty. The clinical responsibilities include a very active in-patient and ambulatory care program including outreach
  • The division is responsible for Antibiotic Stewardship and Infection Prevention in WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital; opportunities exist to participate in WVU’s Global Health and Tropical Medicine
