Software Engineering builds the brains of Waymo’s fully autonomous driving technology. Our software allows the Waymo Driver to perceive the world around it, make the right decision for every situation, and deliver people safely to their destinations. This internship will be based on-site at our headquarters in Mountain View, CA.

You will:

• Launch features that directly improve Waymo’s driving behavior in highly dynamic and challenging environments.
• Work closely with Perception and Behavior engineers to apply latest techniques to integrate and validate large ML models in real-time production systems.

You have:

• Currently pursuing a master’s degree in computer science or related technical field
• Experience with C++ and Python.
• Strong understanding of data structures

We prefer:

• Experience applying machine learning to solve computer vision, motion planning or related robotics problems
