Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Good public relations skills and self-motivation are required.
  • Knowledge and skills in computers and related software applications for program planning, implementation, and record-keeping are required.
  • Ability to travel throughout Central Indiana in a mobile office environment and maintain reliable internet access is required.
  • Proficiency with student tracking and administrative software including Banner, Dual Enroll, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canvas, and Salesforce.
  • Hands-on experience managing a classroom, presenting to high school students and administrative teams, and tracking student progress toward completion.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and provide data-driven solutions for high school partners.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to think critically, make independent decisions, and solve complex problems in a timely manner.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and track progress in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to inspire, guide, and assist team members toward a common goal while fostering a positive work culture.
Responsibilities
  • Advise high school students about academic degree pathways and transfer opportunities by creating individual academic plans and degree trackers.
  • Help students clarify personal and academic career goals using student development, human development, and student learning theories.
  • Manage assigned schools' dual-credit and dual-enrollment courses from application through registration.
  • Work with teachers and students to assist with Dual Enroll applications, Knowledge Assessment, and course registration.
  • Maintain communication and public relations with high school students, parents, and school personnel by coordinating school visits and recruiting and information activities.
  • Collaborate with high school counselors, teachers, and school personnel to address student needs and issues when appropriate.
  • Maintain, update, and distribute dual-credit, dual-enrollment, and credential-attainment resource materials to college and high school personnel.
  • Monitor the academic progress of assigned dual-credit students through communication plans, regular meetings, interventions, assessments, and data collection and analysis.
  • Manage the student connection caseload to promote retention, persistence, and student success through proactive interactions and interventions.
  • Promote dual-credit and dual-enrollment opportunities to high school staff, students, and parents.
  • Provide information about the College and promote relevant programs to students.
  • Record and maintain student records using multiple student management tools.
  • Assist students in understanding the College's registration process and the processes that must be completed before each semester for dual-credit students.
  • Help students interpret and understand placement scores, program curricula, and prerequisites.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the institution's academic programs, policies, curriculum, and student policies.
  • Participate in and assist with coordinating on-campus and off-campus events supporting stakeholders and K-14 program initiatives, including some evening or weekend activities.
  • Serve on committees as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in student advising and/or high school classroom management, including teaching, counseling, or support.
  • Experience working in higher education or with high school-age youth.
  • A master's degree.
