Requirements
  • General training in chemistry or biology wet-lab work (pipetting, buffer formulation, chemical ligation or conjugation)
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry and biochemistry and general knowledge of DNA sequencing technology
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Research experience is a plus
  • Communication skills in terms of summarizing data and giving presentations
  • PhD candidate is preferred but undergraduates in science or engineering programs are also welcomed to apply; The students from Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Science, Chemical Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or equivalent field of programs are preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be comfortable with conducting presentations effectively and professionally to customers/peers/management
  • Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds
  • The position requires physical activity and the handling of chemicals; Candidates are required to follow the safety protocols and be familiar with personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in the laboratory environment
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the performance of the surface design through basic assays
  • Test cell specific responses based on antibodies used
  • Develop soft skills
  • Meet with Leaders across the organization to learn about their careers and gain insights on how to navigate early career decisions
