Job Description:
Benefitfocus is seeking a professional and motivated individual to support our customers in an entry-level Test Analyst role. A Test Analyst is responsible for the receipt, validation, and transmission of EDI files to our trading partners. You will be tasked with ensuring that data is received timely, contains accurate information and is sent within client processing service level agreements. A candidate for this position should be comfortable working independently and possess a drive for knowledge.
Responsibilities:- Support various integration projects including EDI, Import, API, SSO, Payroll, etc. with varying levels of complexity.
- Key scenarios, extract data and manually validate results.
- Perform triage, root cause analysis and corrections to data issues found during testing.
- Coordinate fixes or improvements to data issues across multiple departments.
- Use critical thinking and execute work arounds when needed.
- Resolve reported issues in a timely manner.
- Execute testing on new product releases to validate new features and data processing related changes.
- Train new team members on processes and tools.
- Manage priorities against project schedule.
- Proactively notify internal teams if/when tasks will not meet agreed upon deadlines.
- Exercise independent judgment in escalating issues to project leaders.
- Develop relationships with internal Benefitfocus teams.
- Work independently and in a team environment team.
- Time allocation – 50 - 75% File Processing, 25 - 50% Analysis/Research.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:- BA/BS degree or equivalent.
- Prior Salesforce experience a plus.
- 834 enrollment file/xml knowledge a plus.
- Must be able to work across multiple departments to support internal customers.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment with limited direction.
- Must be a self-starter with superior attention to detail.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PP).
- Ability to learn proprietary technology quickly through instruction, team collaboration and self-directed learning.
