Matterport is seeking a talented, passionate Product Design Intern to support various projects in our busy studio. You will work closely with our design team, cross-functional partners in product, engineering, and marketing as well as the others interning at Matterport. You will have real ownership on experiences that ship to our customers. The position can be remote while our headquarters are in Sunnyvale, California. This role reports directly to one of our Design Directors who will work one-on-one with you to make your internship as impactful as possible.

Responsibilities

Work on customer-driven design initiatives to define, assess, and optimize the performance of new and existing features.
Work with other designers to contribute to our evolving design system of components, styles, and interactions.
Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-platform teams to ensure a consistent customer experience.
Support UX Research activities to understand current and future needs of our users.

Qualifications

At least one previous product design internship/or experience shipping projects
Inspiring portfolio that demonstrates creativity and curiosity
Eagerness to learn and a track record for being self-driven
