Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least three years of experience working in machine maintenance.
  • Skilled trades education is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain good organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to follow safe work procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely and stand for long periods.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
  • Ability to read and write English and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to use simple arithmetic, formulas, charts, and schedules.
  • Ability to solve problems using basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to maintain and understand records.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and similar applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete projects and tasks.
  • Ability to multitask.
Responsibilities
  • Perform duties supporting maintenance floor demands.
  • Train and assist subordinate-level Maintenance Technicians with the repair and maintenance of manufacturing machinery and processes while following senior technicians’ direction.
  • Maintain the maintenance work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform basic repairs involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Assist senior technicians with complex repairs while adhering to maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with senior and subordinate technicians.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment on the floor.
  • Pass unresolved open items to the next shift at the end of the shift.
  • Complete paperwork associated with daily tasks and activities.
  • Use established procedures to remove and return spare parts.
  • Lead by example while working with team members.
