Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in a media or entertainment environment
  • A Master of Library and Information Science preferred
  • Skilled in Metadata input, Taxonomy and bulk metadata manipulation and transformations between systems, especially as it relates to media content and distribution
  • Demonstrated experience with metadata standards such as Dublin Core, MODs, DACS, AACR2 or PBCORE
  • Experience with Metadata management as part of IT teams
  • Experience with MAM systems used in Media/Entertainment, but special consideration will be given to applicants who have Dalet experience
  • Experienced in the creation and documentation of metadata standards and practices
  • Familiar with XML, JSON and SQL is a plus
  • Experienced in IT development project lifecycles with a focus on capturing business requirements, stakeholder interviews, project documentation and task/status follow ups, testing oversight, and final delivery requirements
  • Familiar with UX design a plus
  • Must be detail-oriented, with strong ability to follow through on plans and processes
  • Must possess strong documentation skills
  • Must be a self-starter and effective at working independently
  • Requires the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Requires effective communication skills and ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Responsibilities
  • Project management of ongoing large- and small-scale metadata projects within the IT department
  • Requires use of project management software and Microsoft Office to track progress
  • Requires overseeing and coordination with members of department, interns, and with PAs
  • Work directly with IT application support and internal departments on metadata management within applications
  • Develop, document and maintain metadata standards across required systems
  • Metadata training of all employees whose job entails metadata entry
  • Able to be part of IT Development project life cycles to include monitoring progress, timelines, and reporting, utilizing project management tools
  • Conduct change management and communication, acting as liaison between IT and TMZ end-users to deliver updates on metadata projects and application updates
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs and pain points and translate them into application and product requirements.
