Summary:

As a Logistics & Planning Specialist plays a vital role in the facilitation & execution of supply chain activities across Logistics and Planning for Kyowa Kirin’s North America (KKNA) region. This position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance, both locally and globally, to ensure uninterrupted product supply for Kyowa Kirin patients. Key responsibilities include managing purchase order and packaging schedule planning, conducting inventory reconciliation, coordinating freight operations, and tracking performance across supply, packaging, and warehouse sites. This position is critical to achieving the company’s goals for supply reliability and resilience.

Essential Functions:

•    Leads and executes product planning, contract packaging coordination, and oversight of 3PL warehouse and freight forwarding management activities.
•    Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and advance user of operations systems: ERP, Logistics’ portals, e-QMS, Digital Control Tower.
•    Analyzes operational data to monitors performance,  identify trends and report on key performance indicators (KPI), while supporting supply chain budget tracking and variance analysis.
•    Investigates exception resolution processes, including root cause analysis and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with GxP standards and e-QMS requirements.
•    Contributes to the development and  implementation of risk mitigation strategies that enable a more resilient supply chain.
•    Provides functional support to the North America Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, contributing to demand planning, scenario analysis, and supply alignment strategies.
•    Perform additional SCM responsibilities may be assigned as needed
                                  
Requirements:

Education
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or closely related discipline. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., APICS) is a plus.

Experience

Minimum three (3) years of experience in Product and Logistics Planning in GxP compliant environment, preferably in cold chain biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) in regulated industries, including processes related to change control, deviation management, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Technical Skills

Process flow & continuous improvement mindset. Digitally savvy with supply/logistics applications. Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

Requires hybrid working environment (Tues & Thurs in Princeton, NJ office with occasion 3rd day when required).  Minimal travel (domestically).Requires up to 5% domestic and international travel.

The anticipated salary for this position will be $90,000 to $110,000.  The actual salary offered for this role at commencement of employment may vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, education (including applicable licenses and certifications, job-based knowledge, location, and other business and organizational needs.
