Requirements
  • One to three years of data entry experience.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and discretion regarding the application review process and applicant information.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience demonstrating comparable knowledge may be considered.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to provide a personal computer, reliable internet access, and preferred accessories, and to download Google Chrome and required university software.
  • Candidates must not be employed by another university, high school, college-counseling organization, or independently in college-counseling work.
  • Candidates must not have a child currently applying to Carnegie Mellon University as a first-year or transfer applicant.
  • Candidates must not be currently enrolled in a full-time degree-seeking program.
  • Availability for full-time Monday-Friday work from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
  • Ability to attend onboarding, training, and weekly meetings via Zoom.
Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly review and process applications and supplementary materials in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow up on missing application materials.
  • Review domestic and international high school curricula.
  • Recalculate grade point averages.
  • Perform application-related data entry.
  • Support database management by merging duplicate records, identifying and labeling document types, and cleaning entries for accurate mail merges.
