IT Project Manager

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an IT Project Manager who can translate larger program goals into well designed project plans and assist the client in developing innovative solutions to complex problems. In this role, you’ll translate larger program goals into well designed project plans and assist the client in developing innovative solutions to complex problems. You’ll work directly with clients to help ensure tasks are managed effectively. You’ll empower our clients through communication, ensuring the program achieves its goals and meets our quality standards. You’ll engage with clients to collect, understand, and define their IT requirements, analyze and translate those requirements into project plans and milestones, and create realistic resource-loaded schedules to manage and report progress. You’ll write and deliver executive leadership level communications and briefings.

You Have: 

• 4+ years of experience with IT project management

• Experience planning, scheduling, coordinating, and delivering IT projects

• Experience developing program baselines and identifying program risks

• Knowledge of technical concepts, best practices, and developing client solutions

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction, and help lead a team 

• Ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across workstreams

• TS/SCI clearance

• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with performance management improvement in support of IT governance

• Knowledge of Governance Risk and Compliance management to ensure that projects support appropriate risk standards and compliance requirements

• Knowledge of vendor management to ensure that vendors, contracts, and Service Level Agreements are aligned

• SAFe Program Consultant Certification 

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

• Scrum Master, Agile Practitioner, Agile Project Delivery Management (APM), or Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
