  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field and 12 years of related technical experience; Master’s degree in a STEM field and 10 years of related technical experience, or PHD in a STEM field; 8 years of related technical experience
  • Understanding of DoD design process
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Experience as SME, Technical lead, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Chief Engineer, or other engineering leadership role that demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with development programs

  • Expertise understanding of the Design, Manufacturing, and Test process

Responsibilities
  • The Development Deputy Chief Engineer will be responsible for the technical direction, execution, and oversight of assigned capabilities within the Increment 2 development effort, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) efforts, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) qualification.
  • Duties will focus on development, integration and test of capabilities that will update and expand the SIGINT and communications systems on the MQ-4C platform.
  • Facilitating technical support, review, and approval of engineering documents and drawings
  • Supporting program reviews as an engineering review authority, and assist in resolution of program engineering challenges (technical, financial, and staffing)
  • Coordinating across programs and functions for common efficiencies and operational gains
  • Making decisions that impact the organization’s operations, and services
  • Comprehending and analyzing complex problems and developing solutions
  • Good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and good oral and written presentation skills
  • Problem-solving experience in a team environment
