  • 4-year degree from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of experience with Health Insurance underwriting or in the Group Employee Benefits Industry
  • Active Life and Health License is highly preferred
  • Prior experience/knowledge in healthcare analytics is preferred
  • Proficiency in data mining, financial modeling, data warehousing and data visualization are preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Prior database mining and management experience are preferred
Responsibilities
  • Understand Client Expectations for Renewal and Deliver
  • Develop bid sheet and gain Account Manager alignment/input
  • Prepare preliminary renewal projection
  • Prepare proposal – analyzing all carrier proposals for accuracy and displaying correctly to client
  • Lead carrier communication throughout duration of the process while always informing AM of status
  • Provide recommendation to Account Manager (and client) for final renewal decisions
  • Answer ad hoc requests utilizing our analytics platform
  • Thoroughly prepare for client meetings by reviewing material being presented and other supporting material to help anticipate and answer questions on the fly
  • Build relationships and maintain direct interaction with key client stakeholders
  • Lead renewal cost projections and budgeting process
  • Lead financial review and carrier engagement when reviewing alternate market options
  • Lead annual to semi-annual data reviews focused on making recommendations and monitoring historical performance of the client’s benefit offerings
  • Provide client recommendations and points-of-view rooted in data and aligned with the Benefit Consultant
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure a united strategy for client success
  • Lead and own monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Articulate key data findings and recommendations while probing for client goals and new data discoveries
  • Create, analyze and make recommendations on completed reports, working in conjunction with Account Managers and Account Executives
  • Peer review other Financial Analysts completed reports and provided training time with Data Analysts
  • Deliver accuracy and accountability in alignment with HUB corporate fundamentals
  • Aim for 100% accuracy of completed materials
  • Utilize the peer review process to catch errors, input errors into tracking systems to ensure duplicate errors do not occur
  • Manage and resolve internal and external stakeholder requests timely and accurately
  • Develop turn-key training and templates for HUB use
  • Assist in the training and coaching of data analysts and other members of the team
  • Learn specialty areas or products, communicate and educate others across the organization
  • Lead internal and external presentations on subject matter
  • Build relationships with carrier partners and develop detailed understanding of their products and services
Desired Qualifications
