Requirements
  • 6+ years of professional experience in developing applications for Linux and high-traffic cloud-based systems, with advanced expertise in C++
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining features in Chromium, including contributions at various layers such as content, browser, core, compositor, and networking
  • Strong understanding of modern web programming concepts and languages, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar technologies
  • Familiarity with networking technologies like gRPC and WebSockets, with hands-on implementation expertise in robust communication architectures
  • Extensive experience with software quality automation tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
Responsibilities
  • Owning the definition, design, implementation, testing, delivery, monitoring, and reliability of multiple core components to ensure optimal browser streaming experiences for customers.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to analyze requirements and develop scalable, secure, and extensible technical solutions for cloud applications.
  • Writing high-quality, testable, maintainable, and secure code, while integrating appropriate tests into CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
  • Fostering team growth through mentoring and knowledge sharing, maintaining a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
  • Taking full ownership of deployed services, including on-call responsibilities, to ensure reliability and minimize production incidents.
Desired Qualifications
  • Expertise in protocols such as HTTP/HTTP3, UDP or other, with a strong understanding of their unique challenges.
  • Proficiency in modern build tools and compilers, including LLVM, Emscripten toolchains, GN, and Bazel, along with experience in cloud platforms and monitoring tools like AWS, Kubernetes, Kibana, Grafana, or Mimir.
  • Bonus: Active contributor to the Chromium open-source project or similar large-scale open-source initiatives.
