Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 3+ years applied experience
  • Experience in using TypeScript, React, JSX/TSX, and other related frontend-oriented software languages and libraries
  • Expertise in building high-quality frontend user interfaces using industry-standard tools, including React, TypeScript, and Next.js
  • Competency in modern React methodologies and syntax, such as hooks, functional components, and the Context API
  • Strong knowledge of mobile-first and responsive design principles
  • Ability to integrate with APIs within the context of modern frontend applications
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment
  • Experience working across the entire Software Development Life Cycle
  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Works cross-functionally with Product Managers, UX Designers, Business Analysts, and other disciplines
  • Writes clean, concise, and secure code with limited guidance
  • Collaborates with other Frontend, Mobile, Backend, and Full-Stack Engineers for pair programming, code reviews, and project planning
  • Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
  • Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
  • Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
  • Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Desired Qualifications
  • A curiosity for staying ahead of modern frontend development trends and experimenting with emerging technologies, including AI and Machine Learning
  • Experience with, or a desire to upskill into, React Native for mobile app development
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud technologies and working with GraphQL and headless CMS
  • Familiarity with automated testing suites such as Jest or Mocha
  • Experience in debugging and resolving cross-browser issues
